 Eòlia Theatre Barcelona 2017

SUMMARY
Cleaning ladies, nurses, receptionists, students, sisters, mothers, grandmothers, friends, lovers…  Many voices in a single woman and many women in a single voice.

Lucia Berlin writes from hospital waiting rooms  while she works cleaning homes, on the bus, reading, smoking, drinking, between arguments and family reunions. All the smells, sighs and cries, deaths and births, the tears and laughs, the wounds and cures, the caresses, the scrapes, daily life and the lack thereof are silences and words etched on her skin.

The show takes her narrations as starting point, full of freedom and modernity, both formal and moral and travels to the decades of the 60s, 70s, and 80s in North America to  find itself with her vision of life and death: straightforward, brave, raw and full of tenderness and irony.
